Do you or your students...
Enjoy taking group fitness, Pilates, or yoga classes, but are concerned you might get hurt?
Experience joint pain or discomfort when you practice planks, squats, and pushups or Chaturangas?
Want to better understand the exercises you’ve been doing in fitness classes?
If so, this workshop is for you!
Join movement educators Trina Altman and Nikki Naab-Levy for Injury Proof Your Yoga + Fitness Practice. This online 2 hour in-depth workshop will give you the tools you need to better understand the exercises you’ve been doing in classes and reduce your risk of injury.
In this workshop, you will learn:
- How to apply critical thinking skills to your movement experience.
- Underlying reasons for pain and discomfort in popular yoga poses and traditional fitness exercises, including lunges, warrior poses, push ups and Chaturangas, balancing pose transitions, squats, plies and more!
- Preparatory exercises to prepare your body for more challenging movements, improve strength, and minimize the risk of injury.
- How to use common yoga studio props (blocks, straps, balls, stretchy bands, and foam rollers) or the Springboard to improve body awareness and functional movement patterns.
If you’re a Pilates teacher and you work with people who take group fitness or yoga classes, this workshop will give you the tools to help your clients troubleshoot some of their common challenges.
Frequently Asked Questions
I see that some of the exercises are on a Springboard. I’m a yoga teacher and only have access to small props. How much of this workshop will I be able to use in my classes?
Every exercise you’ll learn in this workshop that done on the Springboard is also shown with small props (e.g. blankets, straps, blocks, stretchy bands, and balls) that you will probably have access to in the yoga studio.
Additionally, this workshop covers modern movement science concepts that you can apply to anything that you teach.
I’m interested in the workshop, but don’t have time to watch it right now. If I purchase it, how long will I have access to it?
Good news! Once you buy the workshop it’s yours to keep forever.
