The ability to connect your extremities to your center of gravity is a key element in being able to balance in standing poses such as Warrior III and transition through single leg stance poses.
Your pelvis is your center of gravity, which means that the ability to generate strength from the glutes and hamstrings is important. This workshop will teach you creative and effective strategies to improve pelvic proprioception and lower body strength for yourself and your students.
In this workshop, you will:
● Learn how, why, and when to use your glutes during your yoga practice, daily life, and strength training
● Explore diagonal slings, perturbation, anti rotational movements, and preparatory exercises to prepare the body for more challenging asanas and loaded strength work
● Learn how to connect the upper and lower extremities to your spine and pelvis
